WE BOTH KNOW IT
We both know it, yet we don’t say it
For "once upon a time" doesn’t suit this rhyme.
We shall seek out a more delightful one.
Out of the blue, I encountered you,
A luminous pixie; crossed paths with her.
An icon for the soul, mind would ever seek,
The spirit which reflects an inner heart so pure.
You may think that I refer to this as my beloved.
Maybe you are right, maybe you are not.
Indeed, I know we both know it, yet we don't say it.
A pixie, for the first time, caught my eyes,
From a far-flung corner of this wide world.
What held my enthrallment was not merely the beauty,
But the center of its very origin.
She cast a shadow brighter than anything in her path.
Gracing everything as she walked past with that spirit.
Later that day, the pixie met me.
A soul which was losing what it must be.
The soft touch of spirit, the pixie once again proved its beauty,
Beauty blooming from the center.
Day by day, the bond grew.
Can’t promise to define the bond at its exact point.
We both know it, yet we don’t say it.
Let it be, this feels wonderful.
Growing together, realizing day by day.
Not the truth of this bond,
But the strength it can bear.
Let it be the way it must be.
Do not force it, pixies can fly, you know.
The bond has become special,
Known to us, unknown to the whole world.
Spending days with the pixie,
Allowed myself to know my true potential.
She has shared her light with me,
A reflection of the core she carries.
Tiny fights seem glorious with her,
Laughs seem much more exciting.
You may be a pixie to the world, my dear.
Yet you are the one piece I missed,
All the way through life until now.
We both know it, yet we don’t say.
Let it be, until we can be.
